Our Story
Founded in 1998, Lai Hin Trading Sdn. Bhd. has emerged as a prominent manufacturer of salted duck egg products in Malaysia. Our product line comprised of salted duck eggs, egg yolks, fresh duck eggs and century eggs. We had expanded our range in 2023 to include omega eggs and selenium eggs to boost our product offering.
Situated in Bandar Baharu, Kedah, at a distance of roughly 1.5 kilometers from the North-South Highway (accessible via the Bandar Baharu toll exit), lies Lai Hin Trading’s production site for salted duck eggs. Our manufacturing facility is bolstered by our very own duck farm that has undergone expansion over time to keep pace with rising demand.
As we are passionate about producing consistently high-quality products, we go to great lengths to ensure that our poultry enjoy optimal living conditions. The ducks inhabiting our vast 21-hectare farmland located in Serdang, Kedah live in a hygienic and safe environment, where they can freely roam as they please. Our farm’s capacity has now surpassed 200,000 ducks as of 2023. Furthermore, we hatch our own eggs to produce ducklings in order to grow and maintain a healthy duck population on our farm. Lai Hin hatches up to 15,000 duck eggs weekly.
Aligned with our philosophy of continuous enhancement, we have diligently pursued food safety and health-related certifications for over 25 years. Our cutting-edge facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art systems and machinery, and our production of salted duck eggs has been bestowed the prestigious Veterinary Health Mark (VHM) accreditation. We have also fulfilled the Department of Veterinary Services and Malaysia Good Agricultural Practices (MyGAP) requirements for livestock. Our products are certified halal by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia).
In line with our long-term commitment towards food safety and quality, we have been duly awarded with the certification of ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) in 2010.
With these certifications, you can be sure that the production of salted duck eggs by Lai Hin Trading fulfills the highest food safety, health and cleanliness requirements both locally and internationally. Thus, you can enjoy peace of mind when consuming our products with your family.
Lai Hin Trading’s products are sold in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Melaka. Currently, about 50% of our products are exported to Singapore, Brunei and Hong Kong markets. In the coming years, Lai Hin Trading aspires to expand its distribution to more countries within the region.
